As a pattern designer I find geometric patterns to be one of my strengths. I love being able to turn simple shapes into beautiful pieces of art. I wanted to create a collection of patterns that are not only simplistic but also imperfect and unusual. This is how the collection GeoGeo began.
These square and triangle shapes began as hand ripped pieces of newspaper that have been scanned and edited to create rough and torn vector shapes. I then created a vector fill using one of my own brush stroke outlines. This fill was added to the shapes to create a vibrant texture with interest and small detail.
